Liverpool based band formed in 2017 by frontman Mick Williams followed by James Neill then Adam Berry. The bands EP “The Calm Before The Storm” was released this October as seperate singles after being mixed and mastered by Greg Brooker from Glasstone Records (Dejstil feat Peter Hook of Joy Division and New Order / You Love Her Coz She’s Dead) who the band signed a deal with earlier this year.
Mick who is the singer/songwriter and lead guitarist went to school with James the drummer and met Adam at uni who now plays bass, they recorded the first songs as a project for Adam’s dissertation which was the beginning of The Highersides journey. After different musicians stepping in to play lead guitar, the band has decided to stick as a three-piece and are set to be releasing their new EP ‘There’s More To What You Think Than What You Thought’ in December 2019, recorded by Chris Hughes (The Courteeners / Libatines) and mixed / mastered by Greg Brooker (Dejstil feat Peter Hook of Joy Division and New Order / You Love Her Coz She’s Dead).
With influences varying from rock n roll to heavy metal The Higherside has created a unique sound filled with energy that binds classic rock with modern day music which makes them stand out from the crowd.
